Course programme

Soft Furnishing (Leisure)

Course Aims:
To introduce the student to Soft Furnishings.

Course Content:
You will required to perform a sequence of tasks in the form of samples. Each task will develop its level of skill, culminating in the proper construction of soft furnishing items.

Progression:
There are a variety of part-time and full time Art & Design courses available across the Faculty.

Exam:
Assessment is informal and ongoing.

Qualification:
None - Leisure course

Level:
Introductory leisure course

Other Costs:
As you develop your skills you will want to increase the amount of tools and equipment to help you work both inside and outside of the college environment. Other items such as small pieces of fabrics will need to be supplied throughout the course.

Duration:
2 hours a week for 12 weeks.
