• At least 5 GCSEs at a minimum of grade C with B in Spanish and C in English. • Knowledge of other languages is helpful and relevant experience will be considered. Course Content Spanish is the first language of over 300 million people and is spoken in over twenty countries. Besides Spain and Latin America, Spanish is also spoken in the United States, parts of Africa and the Philippines. As well as learning to communicate in Spanish both orally and in writing, you will also improve your reading and listening skills, and make the most of the enrichment activities available. You will also benefit from extra speaking tuition from a native speaker. AS units include: • Media • The family • Popular culture • Healthy living A2 units include: • Environment • Contemporary social issues Progression Students who complete this course could apply to degree courses such as BA (Hons) International Languages, BA (Hons) Business, and many others at Universities across the UK. Fees • If you are aged 16-18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases.
