Spanish Advanced Level 3 NOCN

The Spanish Advanced Level course is aimed at students who wish to improve their ability to communicate in Spanish and to understand more about the countries, cultutres, and customs of Spain and Latin America
Entry RequirementsThe Advanced Level Spanish course is for students who have:·Achieved a Level 2 qualification at Intermediate Level in Spanish.·Achieved a GSCE in Spanish (Grades A-C)·Gained an equivalent level of Spanish through living or working in a Spanish speaking country.

Course Content
You will study aspects of modern life in Spain and the countries of Latin America.
In addition you will be encouraged to gain confidence in communicating in Spanish through both the spoken and the written word.
You will be able to work on topics of your own choice both in class and at home.

There will be a number of planned social events designed to enrich the learner's experience throughout the course including visits to the cinema, restaurants, markets, cultural events, etc.

There will be an organised visit to Spain that will be open to all part-time learner's of Spanish in 2009-10.
The approximate cost will be 200 (flight and accommodation for 4 nights).
How will I be assessed?
In the Advanced Level programme you will be assessed in the four skill areas of Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing through a series of practical tasks that relate to current affairs and the present day society in the Spanish-speaking world.
What can I do next?
Beyond the Level 3 programme you will have a number of progression routes open to you including:·Employment where proven ability to communicate in Spanish is required·Higher Education·A professional qualification in Spanish
