Course provider history
Linkword language courses and were first tested out on a group of executives at Thomson holidays. Thomson holidays brought in an independant consultant who found that the executives learned in 12 hours what normally took 40 hours. A later study at Rugby school found that 25% of a group of poor learners taught using the Linkword course performed so well they were promoted to the class above. Another study at a school in Swansea found that when using linkword end of term exam results averaged 63% compared to 23% not using Linkword
Because of these result it was decided to pulish Linkword courses in various forms, but in 2002, Dr Gruneberg decided to set up his own company, Linkwordlanguages.com, to sell cdrom software versions of his courses.
Very soon it was clear that there was demand for many more courses and levels. For the major european languages, French, German, spanish and italian, courses were developed which teach an extensive vocabulary and up to GCSE level as far as major grammar points were concerned.
