This course is offered at Beverley starting 19 April 6.15pm - 8.15pm and Bridlington on Thursday 21 April, 6pm - 7pm or 7pm - 8pm. To further develop the skills of speaking, understanding, reading and writing in the language to achieve the standard of a good GCSE pass. Learn how to give descriptions, opinions and extra information and to cope with minor complications in everyday situations.

About this course
Some prior knowledge is essential. Knowledge may have been gained on a recent beginners' course or at school but not taken as far as GCSE level.

Course programme
A relaxed, informal course for improvers. The course will cover the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing but the emphasis will be on practical application with lots of opportunities to practise speaking and understanding. Grammar will include past, present and future tenses and topics may include essentials, general information, travel, accommodation, food and drink, shopping, services and emergencies. Learners will have the opportunity to suggest other topics which meet their needs and interests
This is a non accredited course with no exam at the end but the tutor will monitor progress and give feedback.
How will the course be delivered?There will be a wide variety of learning activities designed to develop practical language skills in a stimulating environment. The will include interactive games, listening comprehensions, tutor presentations, pair and small group work.
