This course aims to introduce life skills that will help to support and build self-confidence. It is an opportunity for the individual to be introduced to life skills that will support them to make constructive changes within their own lives and improve their mental wellbeing.

This course is for anybody who may feel they want to:

Increase self-awareness
Change thought patterns/habits
Focus and build on the positive
Examine life style

The skills that will be introduced will be a positive tool to support changes based on your own individual needs.
How to apply for the Wellbeing Project

This course is part of the Wellbeing Project which is a national project researching how learning can help your wellbeing. You will need to attend an interview to confirm your eligibility for the course and fill in a questionnaire at the start, during, and at the end of the course.
This course is free for those who are experiencing stress, low mood or difficulty sleeping (100% concession)

How to Apply - Tutor Approval
Please complete the online Application form and book your interview by clicking Apply Now at the top of this page. If no interview slots are available at the time of your application we will be in touch to arrange an interview date.
To be accepted on the course you must complete the following steps:
Maths and English Assessments: This MUST be done prior to your interview and takes about 1hour, you can come and do this at any time during opening times.
Evidence of skills: You may be required to show evidence of relevant skills either by bringing your certificates or doing an initial assessment task
Interview: The Tutor interview is to ensure that this is the right course for you and that you are fully aware of what is involved in completing the course
On completition of your interview and meeting the other criteria laid out in the application process, successful applicants will be offered a place on to the course.

Real life scenarios used to give examples on how changes can be made.

Personal reflective diary.
ILP to set individual targets.

Assessment Methods:
You will be given hand-outs but recommend you bring pen/pad for additional note taking in class.
