Why choose this course? This degree takes a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of sport, exercise and physical activity. You will study the core subjects of physiology and psychology along with a range of other disciplines. The degree prepares you for employment in a diverse range of careers across sport, exercise and physical activity, whether that is in elite sport, within a clinical or health setting or as a fitness professional.  In addition many of our students also go on to complete a PGCE to become a teacher or undertake a Master or MPhil/PhD.    The course ranked highly in the most recent National Student Survey achieving 91% and comments reflect the enthusiasm that the staff have for the subject, making it interesting and stimulating for the students. Year 1 (Level 4)

In your first year you will focus on developing the fundamental knowledge and skills required to work within a sport or exercise environment. You will develop valuable study and research skills.
