About this course

Course BenefitsThe course is aimed at both graduates aspiring to work in the sports industry and at current sports professionals seeking to acquire the skills to achieve management positions. Students may study full time (1 year) or part time (2 years). Both routes enable you to work alongside your studies. The course focuses heavily on the applied nature of sport management with students supported and encouraged to take on professional work placements in industry.

A good (2:2 or above) BA or BSc degree in a relevant area.
People with degrees in non-related subjects will also be considered, if they can demonstrate relevant paid or voluntary work experience and a commitment to study. Additionally, candidates without a BA/BSc may be considered where they can demonstrate evidence of equivalent prior learning and experience through Leeds Trinity assessment of APL.​​
​​If English is not your first language IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any component) or equivalent is the minimum requirement.

Course InformationThe course is unique in that it emphasises the applied nature of learning in sport management and allows students to draw upon their own vocational experiences and encourages them to apply the findings of the academic discipline in the workplace. The course has been designed alongside the requirements of employers and professional bodies in the area of sport management. Part-time study is not available for international students on a Tier 4 Student Visa.
