About this course




This course will prepare you for a career in outdoor activities/fitness/leisure management, sports administration, coaching and instruction, sports development, research, sports therapy/physiotherapy, teaching, exploration and expedition, and outdoor development training, education, recreation, sports development and therapy.

Successful completion of a related Foundation Degree where at least 70% has been awarded to 30% of the modules or more, with at least 50% of the modules to be passed with at least 60%. GCSE Maths and English at C grade (or equivalent) are required and Physical Education and Sciences GCSE would be advantageous.
We also welcome applications from mature applicants, individuals with European qualifications and international applicants (subject to minimum English language requirements).

Course programme

On this year-long Top-up degree you will study a total of 120 credits including a compulsory dissertation module of 20 or 40 credits and a further 80/100 credits from chosen the 10 credit module options listed below. Each module is assessed on a continuous basis throughout the year by the use of assignments, tests, projects and case studies. Although this is an English-medium programme, parts will be presented bilingually, with both oral and written assessment available in Welsh if you so wish.
