Sports Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate Level 3 (External)

Is this course for me?
This course is for those currently working as a Level 2 Fitness
Instructor.
What will I study?
We can approach the employer to set you up as an Advanced
Apprentice through the workplace.
The course consists of a number of elements including an NVQ
Level 3 and two Technical Certificates; industry awareness and
delivering anatomy and client personal programmes.
You will also learn first aid, key skills, numeracy,
communications and Level 2 Customer Service.
There is also the opportunity to enrol on the Higher Sports
Leader Award, where alongside with your study, you will be employed
by the College in the Fitness Centre for one year enabling you to
gain valuable industrial experience.
What can I do next?
On successful completion an Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate
will be awarded, this is a nationally recognised qualification
accepted by the leisure industry.
This can lead to progression into employment as a personal
trainer or onto university.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need an NVQ Level 2, to take an assessment test and
attend an interview at the College.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
