The mode of assessment is designed to match the individual module learning outcomes. A variety of assessment methods may be used including: presentation; report; leaflet; reflective journal; practical exam; project; training plan; case study; role play and e-portfolio. DBS information could include: Details of criminal records Information about a person’s inclusion on children’s or adult’s lists Other relevant information held by a local police force or Government Body Or state that there is no information The cost of a DBS check is £44. You will be invited to Aireville Campus in the summer to complete the DBS application form as you are required to provide a selection of documents to confirm your identity and current address (further details will be sent to you in the summer 2016). Entry Requirements: 120 UCAS points Extended Diploma/A2 Level/Access to HE Diploma or equivalent Clear DBS plus GCSEs English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above or equivalent or Students without necessary qualifications but with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply for an interview Students with relevant HNCs may be able to transfer credit in certain modules onto the Foundation Degree

You will gain an understanding of a broad range of sports coaching and Physical Activy concepts and techniques. The course will support you to develop the ability and confidence to effectively work in sports coaching or education roles while obtaining a good foundation in sports science and psychology methods.
An integral part of the course is a practical element, and you will be expected to take part in work placements in schools and sports organisations, applying your new found knowledge and skills where it matters – with students and clients.
This Foundation Degree offers an exciting opportunity to progress in your career – whether you’re studying a Level 3 Diploma and want to take your skills to the next level, or if you’re already working in sports and want to develop further. This degree offers an excellent foundation for studying for a teaching qualification, such as the PGCE.
Once you have graduated, you will be to apply for entry to the final level of an appropriate BA (Hons) (Top-up) at institutions that offer appropriate progression routes.
