SPORTS LEADERS UK AWARD / HIGHER SPORTS LEADER
The 'Sports Leaders' UK Level 2/3 Awards in Sports Leadership provides ideal training for those people wishing to lead groups in sporting and recreational activity. It is designed for those over the age of 16, irrespective of their ability, who seek the opportunity to train and provide voluntary assistance alongside qualified coaches or teachers, thereby increasing their own knowledge, confidence and experience.
As these two awards are nationally recognised qualifications they are ideal for any student who is interested in joining the Police Force, Armed Forces or teaching and working with children and for enriching students' Curriculum Vitae. The Level 3 award is worth 30 UCAS points when applying to University.

What opportunities are there?
Many students coach a variety of sports locally and abroad in their vacation, on Holiday and Summer Camps. The leadership and organisational skills developed on the Level one course form a sound foundation for progression onto the Higher Sports Leaders Award and National governing Body coaching courses. The Level three award equips students with a much broader leadership experience and, potentially, access to University, attracting 30 UCAS points.
