Sports Massage Training Course Many body masseurs are now applying their skills and techniques into the sporting arena with great success. This type of treatment is finding a niche market in the health and fitness facilities, and many therapists are offering this service both as part of their employment and on a freelance basis. This course is designed to enable therapists to have a greater understanding and appreciation of the specific needs of sports participants in the preparation for and recovery from activity. The course will also investigate the value of sports massage in the early detection and the prevention of sports injuries in addition to being a valuable tool in the rehabilitation of such conditions. This course includes “hands on” based practical training. The first part of the course is the distance learning theory element which is completed in your own time and done entirely from the comfort of your own home. As you near the end of your theory training we will contact you to arrange booking you onto your practical training. The practical training is run regularly throughout the year. You can decide when you are going to attend and which one of our national network of training centres would be most convenient for you to attend. Please note: You will be required to have a separate body massage qualification prior to completing the practical training for this course. If you do not have one, we are able to run a 2 day course for you before you attend your 1 days sports massage practical training, however this will cost an additional £340 to cover the training costs. Please contact the college if you would like more information on this. If you would prefer to study the theory element of the course only (at a reduced rate) click...
