This is a Professional recognised BTEC Level 5 training course over 15 days, spread over 3 months giving you plenty of time to do your case studies

000000;">On the sports massage course you will develop advanced remedial and deep tissue techniques to provide more effective treatment before and after sport or exercise, including injury evaluation, management and treatment.

Massage and sports treatments include:

  • Muscle energy technique
  • Soft tissue release
  • Neuro-muscular technique

  • Myofascial release
  • Taping and strapping
  • Cryotherapy
  • Common soft tissue injuries
  • Testing for common sports injuries
  • Neurological testing
  • Treatment of chronic and acute conditions

  • Muscle actions and points of attachment
  • Proprioception
  • Postural Assessment

    • Remedial and deep tissue massage
    • Treating Pre and post event

    What are the sports massage course requirements?

    120 hours home practice inclusive of case studies (for qualified therapists)
    1 hour practical examination and a 3 hour theory paper
    Homework.

    After qualification you can join the APNT, BCMA and ISRM

    You must have a recognised full body massage and Anatomy and Physiology. It can be an ITEC, VTCT, BTEC or similar level 3 qualification.
