St. Patrick's was founded in 1803 (as St. Patrick's School) and has evolved over the period of last two hundred years to its current status. The college is housed in a very spacious five-floor building in the centre of London - a few steps away from Oxford Street, the main shopping centre of the city, and within easy reach of the most important centres of cultural interest and social activity. The foundation stone of the building was laid by Rev. L .C Vere on 6th of july 1887. St. Patrick's is open all year round and has facilities including library, multimedia computer labs, a refectory, Leisure & Recreation and an open-air basketball and volleyball court. The College offers top quality tuition in a warm, caring and stimulating environment. There are several compelling reasons why students should consider St. Patrick's very seriously. The high quality and excellence of our educationSt Patrick's provides high quality education in a caring and friendly environment. It has all the facilities you need for an effective and enjoyable learning experience, which contributes to the success of our students. Our accreditations & affiliationsSt. Patrick's has a impressive and enviable host of accreditations and affiliations with various organisations, which are testament to the high quality of our education offering. Authentic BritishWe pride ourselves on providing courses that lead to 'Authentic British' (mapped to the National Qualifications Framework) qualifications from Edexcel, University of Portsmouth, University of Sunderland and University of London. British qualifications have a strong established foundation of many centuries and are relied upon extensively and recognised globally. British qualifications are also most evolved to meet today's and tomorrow's needs of global markets, not yesterday's requirements. Further, British qualifications are also most sought by organisations today. 7 out of 10 HR Directors of multinational companies said that they preferred their graduates to be British qualified.Source: AC NielsenHighly Experienced and Qualified StaffThe quality and excellence is underpinned by our staff, who are highly experienced and qualified upto PhD and MBA levels. The staff comprise academics and industry-professionals, which provides our students a unique mix of best-learning practices along with 'hands-on' implementation experience of people who've been there and done it. As a result of this, our students undergo a learning process, which from the outset prepares them for employment.Meeting the needs of industry and studentsAn eventual goal for education and training for many, is good employment and the prospects of a better quality of life. It is hence important to consider the part played by higher education. To achieve good employment, look at employer needs - it is evident that employers are looking for a workforce which does not simply rely on academic mastery, but also possesses the practical skills necessary in getting things done. St. Patrick's courses address exactly this - our courses are 'real life based' whereby students apply their academic learning to real life situations. For example, students may be asked to develop business plans, create full company accounts or even develop priced and costed food menus. No wonder that our students obtain work placements and commence successful careers with some of the world's leading brand name firms and blue chip organisations.
