Two weeks of fighting with swords, daggers and unarmed combat for industry-recognised certification.
The BADC STANDARD (Level one) Certification is the industry entry-level in dramatic combat training, and is recognised both in the U.K.. and internationally. In this course you will work with industry professionals to learn the essential skills for performing safe but effective dramatic action for screen, stage and motion capture.

About this course
By the end of the course, you will have a solid knowledge on how to perform dramatic fights safely for a range of media. You will also develop skills in acting, movement and physical story-telling, and learn how to work with your strengths to bring out the best result. You will also gain significant training in fitness and conditioning, which is useful for any performer.

Standard Certification with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat
In this course is unique in that it covers dramatic combat not only for stage and screen, but also for performance capture. We both work with your strengths, and develop the areas where you can improve. Importantly, we work in integrating the whole of your performance skills - so it is not just performing physical moves, it's working the full range of the dramatic arts.

We apply these skills to stage, screen and performance capture.
Throughout the two weeks, we also cover:

- professional etiquette
At the end of the two weeks, if you are ready you will have the opportunity to take a performance examination in front of an independent examiner for the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. If you pass this exam, you will gain your Standard certification with the BADC, which is an industry-recognised certification.
