Asset Languages is a way of recognising and rewarding achievement in languages learning from OCR. The Asset Languages assessment scheme supports the Government's National Languages Strategy and is designed to provide voluntary accreditation options for learners of all ages and abilities from primary to further, higher and adult education.

What Will I Learn On This Course?

On completing the Asset Spanish Breakthrough course, you should be able to understand and use a basic range of everyday expressions in Spanish relating to personal details and needs. You will also have some understanding of a few simple grammatical structures and sentence patterns of the Spanish language.

Course Content And Method Of Assessment

Asset Languages is built around a flexible combination of teacher assessment and external assessment, offering classroom-based 'assessment for learning' and demand-led external testing, throughout the year. Each of the four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing, forms a separate qualification.

After The Course

If after the Asset Spanish Breakthrough course you want to carry on learning Spanish, you can enrol in the GCSE course.

Subject Combinations

The Asset Spanish Breakthrough course combines well with any AS or A2 courses and it's an excellent way to start learning Spanish in a flexible way.
