  • I couldnt even sew a button on before i did this course and now i can sew buttons, use sewing machines and even made a bag! I was so excited to discover how fun and simple sewing is, once you've been shown how to. Highly recommended for beginners but also to develop and build on current sewing skills.

  • I spent a lovely Sunday at this begginners sewing class and came home inspired to get sewing again. I learnt all the basics to get me started and as there was only six of us in the class- I got lots of personal support from mentors Claire-Louise and Alex. I have already requested a sewing machine for christmas! I fully reccommend this course to all begginners.

  • I thought it was great, except for 2 small things: I was a bit cold, and it was a shame my bag project took longer than the time allowed. But definitely still worth it and would go back for more courses.

What I would highlight: A really great course with excellent teachers. Very laid back friendly atmosphere. I went away feeling like i had really learnt how to use a sewing machine (miracle)and was very proud of my cushion. I did find the room a bit cold (mainly due to the concrete floor I think) so would advise very wooly socks, boots and a cardigan if going in the winter months. I will definitely be going back for more when i decide on a project.

What I would highlight: I had a lovely sewing machine sat at home gathering dust for two years until I, along with my sewing machine went to see Claire-Louise and Alex. They answered all my questions and were happy to show me how to use and care for my machine. I made a beautiful cushion to be proud of made of quality fabric and quality stitching. Help was available all the way along and we were given lots of very useful information. I would reccomend this course to anyone and everyone. Also, I can now sit at home and confidently thread my sewing machine, wind my bobbin and lots more! It's set in a lovely relaxed and friendly environment with lots of tea/coffee and fabulous cupcakes thrown in. Alex and Claire-Louise are the nicest and most helpful and friendly teachers that you could ever ask for. My cushion now has pride of place on my couch and I can't wait to make some more with the template handed out at the end of the class, just perfect all round. Many thanks, Gem x
