About this course
Delegates will be required to have previous sea going and fire fighting training, including the use of self contained breathing apparatus. Delegates should be reasonably fit.

Course aim
This course will provide delegates with a sufficient level of knowledge

Duration
This is a four day course.
Accommodation
We can arrange single en-suite accommodation with breakfast, plus
transport to and from the training facility each day for £35 per person
per night.

- Compartment fire fighting techniques
- The containment of fire
- Machinery space fire fighting
- Fixed fire fighting systems
- Classification of ships structure
- Fire detection equipment and investigation
- Legislation
- Liaison with Fire & Rescue services
- Ship stability
- Search & rescue techniques
- Use & control of breathing apparatus
- Major incident involving multi-compartment firefighting and search and rescue scenarios
Entry qualifications
Delegates will be required to have previous sea going and fire fighting training, including the use of self contained breathing
apparatus. Delegates should be reasonably fit.
Qualifications gained
Delegates who successfully complete the course will be awarded an MCA Accredited Advanced Fire Fighting certificate in
accorrdance with MCA certified guidelines.
