The aim is to produce high quality structural engineers who have an understanding of architecture and an appreciation of the role of architects in the design process, through working with practising engineers and architects. An unrivalled range of specialist options is available in Year 5 and students complete a professional design project. Year 2
Expands on the basics of Level 1, with subjects such as: Hydraulics and Hydrology; Civil Engineering Materials; Analysis of Determinate Structures; and Surveying and Monitoring in the Built and Natural Environment.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Constructionarium programme, where they get hands-on construction experience of the civil engineering industry.3
