Structured Cabling
Structured cabling systems are internal and multi-building cable networks that facilitate and integrate a variety of communications services, including voice and data. Such networks have evolved rapidly during the past 10 years with the majority now progressing from traditional coax cable to unshielded twisted pair (UTP).
Increasingly these electronic ‘backbones' are being utilised to install and operate basic and advanced CCTV systems, so a knowledge of structured cabling is now essential for everyone working in this field.
Tavcom is introducing this specialist course for 2009 to equip you with these essential skills. The course content includes the fundamentals of
structured copper and fibre optic cabling for all systems applications including cable types, installation, testing and fault finding techniques.
