STUDIO PRODUCTION
Entry Requirements
There are no pre-course entry requirements, just
a willingness to learn and an interest in producing music using studio
equipment.
Description
This course will show you how to
record music using the studio facilities and how to master your recording
to a professional standard.
Please note: this course will not
qualify you to work in the music industry but will give you an insight to
the workings of a professional music studio.
Course Content

Understanding the basics of the studio software
· Understand how to use
the studio sound desk
· Understand how to set up a recording session

Edit the sounds and master the music
Where a course is aimed
towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will
enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
You will be
assessed on the quality of the final mix and your abilities during the
sessions.
Progression
If you have enjoyed this short course
you may want to consider joining the BTEC First Diploma in Music for a
one-year course or, if you have the qualifications necessary, the BTEC
National Diploma in Music Technology for a two-year course.
Materials
You will need to bring with you a good pair of headphones,
a set of CD-R disks to save your work on and a notebook and pen.
