  • The role of the supervisor in the change process
  • Overcoming resistance and gaining peoples’ commitment

Day Three Programme

Review of Day Two

Problem Solving

  • The use of various problem-solving techniques, including affinity and fishbone diagrams

Managing performance and maintaining standards

  • Setting standards, monitoring and taking corrective action when performance fails to reach required standards
  • The distinction between discipline and punishment
  • Putting theory into practise – case-studies

Motivation

  • An introduction to the views of the behavioural sciences on motivation
  • An identification of actions supervisors can take to improve levels of motivation in their teams

Action Session

  • Participants will finalise their action points from each of the modules to form a contract which will be reviewed by their line manager
