Course programme

Duration of programme: 1 year full-time: six months of taught modules on campus and a six month individual project.
Start date:
September
Intake: Up to 25 per year

One of the following:

  • A first or good second class Honours Degree from a UK academic organisation.

  • Equivalent overseas degree recognised by Aston University.

As well as:

  • Two professional references – at least one must be from an academic referee

  • A completed application form.

For International Students:

  • An official academic transcript, with an official English translation, of your university grades to date

  • Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of an English language qualification.

Pre-sessional English language programmes are available for good applicants whose English qualification falls just short of these requirements.

  • MSc Supply Chain Management is delivered in a collaboration between the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Aston Business School which makes this course distinctive from other universities. You will receive a broader knowledge from academics across both schools who work closely with business and industry.

    You will develop knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and applied perspectives of supply chain management and logistics, along with specific areas of supply chain management by studying specialist modules. These areas include: relationships, partnering, ERP, simulation, purchasing, contracts, planning and optimisation.

    This programme requires you to study nine taught modules, plus the completion of a major project with a dissertation of up to 20,000 words. Each taught module involves up to 22 teaching hours including tutorials, case studies and guest lectures. The programme runs from October to September with examinations and assessments held in December, March/April and June. The major project occupies the final six months, being submitted in September.
