Summary
An NVQ assesses a persons competence (the skills, knowledge and understanding they have) in a work situation. Based on national occupational standards.
About the Course
Students meet once a fortnight over an 18 month period.
Students must demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge and understanding detailed in the NVQ units of competence. Ten units must be achieved - six of which are mandatory, including Help to Keep Children Safe, Promote Positive Behaviour and four optional units from a vast choice including Contribute to Assessment for Learning and Providing Displays.
