Course programme
The NVQ Supporting Teaching and Learning (Levels 2 and 3) courses are for those who would like to work in a primary, special school or secondary school as a teaching assistant, supporting the teacher paid or unpaid. It aims to provide skilled and qualified workers; in addition, this would enhance the candidate's credibility and prospects for future employment.
NVQ Level 3
For those candidates who have completed a Level 2 and for those who have specific responsibilities for a pupil, subject area or age group. The Level 3 is a ten unit qualification. Six optional units and four mandatory units.
Method of Delivery and Assessment
You will be required to attend childcare tutuorials one day/evening per week, and where possible attend for some basic IT training. Students must be able to complete an extended period of work placement which is a mandatory element of the course.
