About the course A builder's ability to construct sustainable buildings is an increasingly important factor in a company or individual's decision to employ them. This course is designed to provide career development, or a professional route into the construction industry. It gives you knowledge of construction, how best to utilise land or space, and ways to make buildings more energy efficient: inspect, operate and get hands-on experience with alternative fuel systems, including solar domestic hot water heating, ground source heat pumps and photovoltaic systems. About this course
A foundation degree will be of particular interest if you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, vocational A levels, BTEC National or equivalent. Foundation degrees are also particularly suitable if you want to qualify while working. / entry As a guideline, a typical offer would require you to obtain a UCAS tariff score of between points, based on your level 3 studies. Many students studying for foundation degrees come to us through work-based routes so you can apply for a foundation degree even if you don't have traditional academic qualifications. .
