Is this course right for me?

If you are working in a food and/or drink service role and wish to enhance your skills. This NVQ is a work-based qualification with flexible start dates. The average duration on programme is 6 - 9 months.

What will I be learning?

4 mandatory units and 4 optional units relevant to your job role. Subjects covered include health & safety, food hygiene, security, working in a team and food & drink service.

How will I learn?

Assessment in the workplace.

Your assessor will complete a skill scan with you to confirm this NVQ is suited to your job role.

What else might I want to know?

This NVQ is fully funded if you work for a small business (less than 250 staff) or are volunteering to develop relevant skills and meet the Train to Gain criteria.

What can I do afterwards?

Upon achievement you will be awarded an NVQ Level 2 certified by the Hospitality
Awarding Body (HAB).
You can progress to Level 3 qualifications or alternative Level 2 qualifications.
