About this course
Candidates should have an SVQ Level II qualification or equivalent in Food & Drink Service, Bar Service, Food Preparation & Cooking or Hospitality Quick Service. In exceptional circumstances, students who have considerable industrial experience at an appropriate level will be considered.

- Managing Yourself Through Self-evaluation & External Reviews

- Consistently Maintain the Health, Hygiene, Safety & Security of the Working Environment
- Deliver Team & Individual Briefings & De-briefings
- Identify Strengths & Weaknesses of Staff & Organise Training Skills When Required
On successful completion students may progress to HNC/HND Hospitality programmes.

Career opportunities exist at supervisory level in all areas of the hospitality sector in the UK and abroad including hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, cruise ships and airlines.
Course Assessment:
Students must demonstrate that they can consistently supervise staff and maintain standards in all service areas. This is carried out in the realistic working environment of the college Ambition Restaurant, bar and internet cafe. Each unit is broken down to cover a specific range of criteria, and assessments are carried out continually throughout the course.
