What does the course involve?
Theory of massage includes the history, ethics, types of massage techniques their application, benefits and effects. Care of the client and consultation skills along with safe working practices and underpinning anatomy and physiology provide the additional knowledge to compliment your practical techniques.

What will I study?
The aim of the course is to give a sound foundation in all aspects of Swedish massage. The successful student will become a safe and effective practitioner who will be able to gain employment in health spas or salons. Developing practical skills in our commercial environment, you will be expected to work with clients and build a portfolio of theory work. Anatomy and physiology and safe working practices are studied to ensure sound foundations for your new skills. Written assessments and ongoing practical observations are taken throughout the course. Directed learning and independent study are also a feature of this course.
