For those simply looking to take their home cooking to an advanced level, the Certificate course will tick all the boxes.

About this course

The practical and theory exams involved in this course result in students graduating with our internationally acclaimed Cordon Bleu Certificate – a qualification which will set graduates up with the skills and knowledge required to cook great food in any environment. In addition to this, graduates earn the CTH Level 2 Award in Culinary Skills, with no addition exams to sit.

This course is ideal for anyone who has an interest in food and wants to develop the skills and knowledge required to easily create dishes to professional standards.

There are no academic qualifications required at attend this course. We accept students from age 16 years. There is no upper age limit.

Your course will begin with an introduction to working in a professional kitchen environment, incorporating practical skill development such as knife skills, before moving on to the foundations of professional cookery.

The Certificate course then takes you to the next level of ability, looking deeper in to various areas of cookery and adding supporting theory lessons – helping you to better understand the food that you cook, make adjustments and produce recipes of your own.
