Taster in Dog Grooming: Site Broomfield Hall

Course Content: The day covers the care and grooming of a dog. It includes bathing and drying and some clipping or hand stripping if time permits. Canine care will be covered and you will gain a taste of what it’s like to be a dog groomer and the methods and procedures you need to follow to groom safely. How will I be assessed? Assessment is by observation of your practical performance throughout the day and a College certificate will be awarded on completion of the day. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? The College runs a commercial salon and all equipment within the salon is used on the course. You are required to wear sensible flat footwear and trousers/jeans. Protective tabards can be worn when in the salon and they will be provided for your use on the day. What can I do after this course? You may wish to participate in further grooming training that the College offers to enhance your skills.
