This world-class First Aid Train the Trainer instructors course, gives every business the opportunity to take basic first aid training into its own hands.
Successful delegates will be able to teach and assess their own training session on subjects including anaphylaxis training, AED (Defibrillator) training, sports first aid, activity first aid, paediatric first aid, emergency first aid at work (EFAW), standard first aid at work (FAW) and more.
About this course
Upon completion of this First Aid Train the Trainer programme, delegates have the knowledge, skills and confidence to take care of in-house first aid training sessions without outside assistance.
We established this course for the proactive company who is looking to train its own trainers.
This train the trainer course is suitable for individuals with the responsibility for first aid training in the workplace, or those who aim to become self-employed in this area.
Delegates will receive the following Ofqual and SQA certificates:
Level 4 First Aid Train the Trainer Instruction
Level 3 Award in Education and Training QCF – PTLLS Equivalent (Optional)
Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment QCF
Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work QCF
Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid QCF
Level 2 Award in AED and CPR QCF
The First Aid Train the Trainer Course is fully compliant with the changes from the Health and Safety Executive regarding First Aid training which comes into force on the 1st October 2015.
On-site group courses can be booked throughout the year and for any location across the UK for groups of four to 12 delegates.

Course programme
The course is run over five days, after which you will be able to train others to:
- Understand the role of the first-aider
- Use available equipment
- Assess the situation and act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking , wounded and bleeding or suffering from shock
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries
- Administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries; chest injuries; burns and scalds; eye injuries; sudden poisoning; anaphylactic shock;
- Recognise the presence of major illness (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, meningitis, sickle cell anaemia) and provide appropriate first aid.
- Safely and effectively operate an AED
