The following topics are covered: Forming relationships; Sense of community; Exploring cultures and religions; Equal Opportunities; Recognising and dealing with emotions; Growing independence; Facing up to fears; Self confidence and self esteem.

The following topics are covered: Fresh air and exercise; Indoor physical play; Outdoor physical play; Knowledge and understanding of the world; Science and Technology; Cooking; Feeding the imagination; Painting, drawing, printing, collage and model making; Music; and Role play.

The following topics are covered: Child rights and protection; Health and Safety; Dangers online; Television; Guns and toy weapons; and Bullying.

Assessment:

You will be assessed on coursework which is detailed in the course materials. Most coursework consists of short paragraph answers to set questions. Your work can be sent back to your course tutor by email or by post.
