Introduction The main purpose and aim of this qualification is to meet the needs of the creative industries for more work based learning and qualifications within this sector. This qualification has been developed in response to the findings of the creative blueprint: the Sector Skills Agreement for the creative and cultural industries, which indicated that more work based learning was needed within this sector.

Course Units All of the units are mandatory.
· Selecting and using safe systems for working at height
· Using tools and equipment for construction or maintenance
· Cleaning up own work area
· Getting in, fitting up and getting out
· Operating lighting for a live performance in the theatre
· Operating sound for a live performance in the theatre
· Running and crewing an ongoing production
· Planning lighting requirements for a production
· Setting up and checking sound equipment

Technical Certificate:
Certificate in Creative & Cultural Practice
