Course programme
In the future there will be an increasing need for managers who understand the technology used in modern industry and commerce and who can assess and evaluate emerging technologies.
The first year of the programme contains a significant proportion of material which is common with our Product Design courses and hence transfer to and from these programmes at the end of Year 1 will be considered on request.
Subject guide
The technology base for the programme draws on the considerable expertise within the range of engineering and science disciplines currently offered at Aston and the well-established industrial links these programmes have developed. You will study Materials Technology, Engineering Technology, Information Technology and the necessary mathematics and computing applications to support these subjects. The management base for the programme includes themes such as The Business Environment, Accounting, Project Management and Human Resource Management. Transferable skills form an important part of the programme and will be developed through a series of assignments, including teamwork.

A degree in Technology and Enterprise Management will equip you for a wide range of employment paths from Production Management through to Sales and Marketing and in sectors as diverse as Electronics and Retailing.
