About this course

All applicants should normally have a first degree (preferably in English, ELT, modern languages or education) and a language teaching qualification.

* For the MA IELT-ALS, at least two years experienc in language teaching or a related field is normally required.
* For the MA TEFL, no substantial teaching experience is expected. However, applicants should normally have had some involvement in language teaching and have studied language teaching methodology.

Applicants who do not meet all the above criteria may also be considered on an individual basis.

  • For the MA IELT-ALS, at least two years experienc in language teaching or a related field is normally required.
  • For the MA TEFL, no substantial teaching experience is expected. However, applicants should normally have had some involvement in language teaching and have studied language teaching methodology.

Applicants who do not meet all the above criteria may also be considered on an individual basis.

Please note that non-native speakers of English should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent).
