This two-day course aims to prepare participants for the NPTC Certificate of Competence in Telescopic Forklift (RTV) Handling. The course also includes assessment to be arranged on a separate day.

The minimum age for a candidate taking this course is 16 years.
You should preferably have knowledge of agricultural machinery.

Course Content: The course will cover: The relevant legal requirements How to avoid the potential dangers of lift truck operation Essential maintenance Changing attachments Handling bulk loads Handling palletised loads Manoeuvring in confined space Working on rough terrain How will I be assessed? There is a practical assessment, lasting approximately two hours, which is taken on a separate day from the training. Tests are organised by NPTC. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? You will be required to supply your own: Steel toe-capped boots/wellingtons Boiler suit Writing materials Lunch (there will be facilities on site if you wish to purchase your lunch here) What can I do after this course?
