For 2011 entry: 340 points from 3 A levels or equivalent
Level 3 advanced diploma in Creative & Media considered
Preferred subjects: English, Art, Media, Photography, History, Psychology
Recommended GCSEs: A minimum requirement of 5 GCSE's A* - C including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications .
If English is not your first language: IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or above.

Course Overview

Every year since 2003 BA TV Production students have won awards at the Royal Television Society (RTS) Regional Awards. This year saw Jon Scorer win 'Best Undergraduate Factual' short film. The film was one of five entries from BU to make this year’s RTS short-list and is automatically entered for a national award to be announced in May.

The BA (Hons) Television Production degree at Bournemouth University has been designed in conjunction with television professionals.

The course is well equipped with broadcast-quality digital equipment including DVC Pro, a 3 camera television studio, a television news studio and Final Cut Pro post-production facilities.

Students from the course run the university campus television station, Nerve TV.

Studying in The Media School, students have opportunities to collaborate with, and commission work from, scriptwriters, journalists, composers, sound designers, multi-media producers and computer animators.
