Course Content And Method Of Assessment

AS - UNIT1: Coursework Portfolio (60%)
This is predominantly a practical project where both fashion and textile art ideas are developed under an umbrella theme. From the Summer homework you will develop observations through to creative samples and maquettes to work around and with the body. Garment construction, body adornment and accessories will be explored and the work is celebrated in our annual Fashion Show. Further ideas can then be developed into a textile art form. In addition to practical work you will be required to look at the work of other artists, designers and craftsmen.
