Located in the heart of Downpatrick, Down Arts Centre manages the Ultimate Guide and is the operational base for the arts in Down District. Staffed by Down District Council Arts Team, the venue produces a busy programme of events all year round, as well as producing and managing the annual Opera Fringe Festival on behalf of Fringe Performances Ltd, and the Newcastle Summer Season.

Have you had an interest in Drama and the Performing Arts and are looking for the chance to develop it further or have you had some experience of performing and want to do more? This new class, led by experienced Director/Actor/Teacher, Jenny Long offers you an exciting opportunity to explore the essential skills of acting: voice, characterisation, improvisation and the production of a short piece of performance. Come along, give it a go, extend your skills and creativity in a fun and practical way!
