Tiling (Construction)

The course includes:

• Basic health and safety/personal protective equipment
• Tool recognition and their correct use
• Knowledge of materials used within tiling
• Setting out your Tiling work
• How to use different adhesives on different surfaces
• Various methods of cutting tiles (e.g. wet tile cutters, dry tiles cutters, tile scribes, snips and saws).
• How to cut around windows and reveals
• How to tile uneven surfaces
• How to tile angled ceilings, around sockets, around boxed in pipes and splash backs.
• Knowledge of methods of Tiling borders and patterns

The course is very practical and you will be involved in all tasks from the start. Therefore you must wear steel toe cap boots and we recommend that you wear old clothes. Instant Training will provide all tools and materials needed for each course on offer.

All tutors are approachable time served tradesmen, who have extensive knowledge of all aspects of their trade and teaching.

The four day courses will run from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. over two consecutive weekends at a cost of £380.00 per person.

After successfully taking part in one of the above courses you will receive a certificate from Instant Training outlining what you have achieved.
