About this course

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D or equivalent and a satisfactory school report or references. There will also be a college interview and essential skills screening.

Course Structure
This course, over 1 year, offers an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in working in the exciting and dynamic, Travel and Tourism sector, as well as providing a formal qualification for those already working in the industry.

The programme is made up of mandatory and optional units that look at a variety of aspects in the industry. These include:

  • Worldwide Travel Destinations
  • Marketing in travel and tourism
  • Customer service & Selling Skills
  • Retail Travel Operations
  • Tour Operations



Qualification Aims
Progression is possible to the one / two year BTEC National in Travel & Tourism or EMTA Cabin Crew course.

Assessments/Examinations
Assessment is continuous encompassing coursework, assignments and projects.

Cost / Equipment
Registration Approx£67 for students aged 19 or over at the start of the course.
Tuition 16-18 years is free, over 19's will need to pay tuition fees of£495 per year

All Travel & Tourism courses have compulsory uniform approx£100.
