The course will enable you to develop specialist skills and knowledge in practical areas including communication, customer service, team working and public speaking. There will also be opportunities to go on a variety of trips and visits which in the past have included Manchester Holiday Show, Chester Zoo, different types of businesses, Universities and many others.
Will I need anything else?
You may be required to purchase an atlas and certain Travel and Tourism books throughout your studies. However you will be advised upon this during enrolment.
How long & often do I attend?
This is a 2 year course, therefore requires full attendance throught the week.
How will I be assessed?
Your work will be assessed through a number of ways including assignments (written work), presentations and role-plays. Some units are subject to external assessment. Grades awarded are Pass, Merit and Distinction.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Successful completion of this course can lead to employment within the travel and tourism industry, such as Travel Agents and Tour Operators. It can also lead to Univeristy.
