This exciting two year course can lead to employment with a travel agent, travel operator, or tourist attraction, work at the airport or for an airline, or get a job working abroad as an overseas representative. Alternatively you may decide to continue your studies at university. In the first year you will study for the 90 Credit Diploma in Travel & Tourism and if successful you can then progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism in the second year.

These exciting courses can lead to employment with a range of employers such as travel agency, tour operator, tourist attraction, working at the airport or for an airline, or employment abroad as an overseas representative. Alternatively you may decide to continue your studies with us, on our excellent Tourism and Aviation foundation degree. Overall, you will learn everything about the travel and tourism industry from customer service, the business of travel and tourism, working in the travel and tourism industry, conferences exhibitions and events to marketing travel and tourism products. To further improve your prospects the Level 3 programmes also include a Spanish qualification. We have excellent employer links and work experience in the UK or overseas is a large part of the programme. As well as the local area, students have also taken up exciting work placements in Greece, Spain, Italy and France. You will have the opportunity to undertake work experience in the UK or overseas, and to take part in residential visits. Park Lane Campus and Keighley College Many opportunities are on offer at the end of the course in the wide and varied tourism sector which supports nearly 30,000 jobs in Leeds alone. Some students move straight into full time employment in the UK or overseas, some progress to higher education courses such as the FdA in Tourism and Aviation.
