Our dynamic Travel and Tourism department offers students the opportunity to study a wide range of units related to the worldwide Travel and Tourism industry. Students will have the opportunity to participate in visits, a residential trip and vocational projects. The course is particularly suited to those students who enjoy both written and practical coursework and who are looking to work in the Travel and Tourism industry or progress to a University course.

Course programme
How will I study?
You will follow a study programme which consists of your main qualification, English and maths, enterprise and enrichment. Your main qualification will cover the following subjects: Marketing Travel and Tourism Products and Services Long-haul Travel Destinations Investigating the Cruise Industry Responsible Tourism Tour Operations Specialist Tourism Working as a Holiday Representative Tourism in Rural Areas UK Visitor Attractions Hospitality Operations
How will I be taught?
Case Studies, presentations, group and individual activities and practical exercises. Lessons will be engaging and full of useful information and learning opportunities.
How will I be assessed?
All units are graded with Pass, Merit or Distinction and are assessed by either written assignments, practical role plays and observations. An overall grade is awarded at the end of the academic year.
