2. Course description This NVQ Course which can be taken as part of an Apprenticeship Framework and is also suitable for those who wish to go into employment in a Travel agency. The qualification will give you the knowledge and understanding of working in a Travel Shop and whilst at College you will be based within the Colleges own MC Travel Shop. This will help you gain valuable experience dealing with customer enquiries for both holiday and flight arrangements either face to face and over the telephone.

3. Entry requirements To gain entry to this course you must possess a Level 1 qualification or four or more GCSEs at Grade D or above to include a minimum of a Grade D in English (or an equivalent qualification) or two GCSEs at Grade C or above or other equivalent qualifications acceptable to the College. You must also undertake successful interview and provide a satisfactory reference. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Internal assessments will be carried out in a variety of ways including assignments role plays and presentations.The majority of sessions are theory based and focus on developing product knowledge. There are 10 -12 hours a week in practical sessions in the travel shop. This qualification is assessed through observation of practice and gathering evidence to prove competency working as a travel agent in the travel shop.
