Course programme
Trigger points not only affect the athletic population but those from all backgrounds especially office and manual workers
With the knowledge gained from this course, you can make a lasting difference to your clients daily life by reducing pain and increasing range of movement
By the end of the workshop you will be able to: Assess client’s posture and biomechanics
Palpate trigger points
Identify and distinguish between active and latent trigger points, as well as sore points
Adopt correct posture and application position to protect the therapists
Apply trigger points effectively
Provide appropriate aftercare advice
Write treatment notes effectively and promptly
There will be ongoing assessment and encouragement throughout the 2 day workshop
Case studies required: 20 treatments, including - Trapezius, Levator Scapulae, Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, subscapularis, Teres major/minor, Latissimus Dorsi, Rhomboids, Quadratus Lumborum, Multifidus/Erector Spinae, Rectus Abdominis, Coracobrachialis, Wrist and Finger Extensors/Flexors, Gluteals, Piriformis, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, IT Band, soleus and Gastrocnemius
