Ulster University Foundation Degree in Sustainable Construction - Year 1 (Fast Track)

Assessment will be carried out via a variety of assessment methods. These will include: coursework assignments and end of module examinations as well as group activities and professional presentations. You will also be assessed in the workplace as part of your industrial placement.

This course is designed to prepare you for a career in Construction Engineering through gaining cutting edge technical skills and knowledge necessary for the modern Construction Industry. It will provide you with specific practical and professional skills, analysis, organisation, design, teamwork and communications. The course aims to leave you equally prepared to progress to complete your Honours Degree, to directly enter employment as a highly skilled employee, or to start your own business.

On successful completion of the Foundation Degree you may progress to Year 2 of the Honours Degree in Construction Engineering and Management with exemption from the placement year at Ulster University. You can, therefore, complete an Honours Degree within the same length of time as a Learners who enrols directly to the university at the beginning of Year 1. You may also transfer to other universities to complete your degree or undertake employment in the construction industry.
