Active Server Pages (ASP) allow the web developer to write programs that will run on the server. This course teaches developers the skills necessary to respond to user input in a form, send customised pages to users based on preferences, and design web pages driven from a database. We assume delegates will use Visual Basic as their programming language of choice.

About this course

Delegates should have strong HTML skills, and be familiar with JavaScript or VB Script for client-side scripts in a web page. Knowledge of Visual InterDev as a tool to help write ASP code is optional, but recommended.

Objectives

Active Server Pages (ASP) allow the web developer to write programs that will run on the server. This course teaches developers the skills necessary to respond to user input in a form, send customised pages to users based on preferences, and design web pages driven from a database. Pre-requisites:

Delegates should have strong HTML skills, and be familiar with JavaScript or VB Script for client-side scripts in a web page. Knowledge of Visual InterDev as a tool to help write ASP code is optional, but recommended.
